History
Discover Bank was founded in 1911 as a community bank in Greenwood, Delaware, under the name of Greenwood Trust Company and was renamed Discover Bank in 2000.
Discover Bank was chartered as a banking corporation under the laws of the State of Delaware, and its deposits are insured up to applicable limits by the FDIC. The Bank is regulated by the State of Delaware and the FDIC.
Discover Bank has always had a tradition of delivering hometown service and offering banking products that are both up to date and relevant to customers. We intend to honor this tradition and continue to provide valuable and convenient financial services backed by exceptional customer service.
